This year's event is the first time in person since 2019. We have planned an informative and action-packed event. We hope you will join us for this year’s Alpha Day at the Capitol!

9:00 AM – 10:20 AM: Alpha Day at the Capitol Breakfast

10:30 AM: Meet on the 3rd Floor Rotunda in front of the House Floor Chamber 

10:30 AM-Noon: Elected Official Meetings 

• Meet with Il House Speaker Bro. Emmanuel Chris Welch and ILBC 
• Meet with the Illinois Secretary of State 
• Meet with Governor and Lt. Governor 

Noon-1 PM: Alpha Hymn and Prayer 

1 PM- 2 PM: Lunch Served at Union Baptist Church

2023 ALPHA DAY AT THE CAPITOL RECEPTION

The welcome reception will be hosted at Truth Lounge at 7 PM on April 18, 2023. The following morning we will host our Annual Breakfast, with legislative updates from our legislative members, present the Eddie Jones, Jr. Civic Engagement Award, and prepare for advocacy at the Illinois State Capitol. The event will also be attended by various special guests, including some of Illinois’ statewide officials and more.
