BADST FOREVER LEVEL-UP RETREAT
Frequently Asked Questions
What is BADST Forever Level-up Retreat?
The 2025 BADST Level-up Retreat scheduled to occur in Atlanta, GA, was inspired by a similar event hosted by the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Chapter, which executed its inaugural Beta Nu BLOC retreat weekend in April 2023. Similar to the retreat in February 2024 The BADST Level Up Retreat will be a professional networking event that will allow Sorors to connect, support, and drive deeper relationships that extend beyond the classic interactions that occur in an on-campus environment. Homecoming is a great time to socialize and engage. However, this retreat will help to foster meaningful professional connections that are often missed during the Homecoming festivities. Being a select member of BADST means that you and your family should be positioned to advance all dimensions of life by leveraging our collective network. This only happens if we know how to support and help each other in our professional and personal endeavors.
Who are the organizers of the BADST Forever Level-up Retreat?
Sorors Erica McGeachy Crenshaw, Timicka Anderson, Leigh Hughes, Courtney Hughes, Sharon Lettman-Hicks & Ania Wilson
Are the organizers getting paid?
No, all committee organizers and other contributing Sorors are dedicating a considerably amount of time to ensure a successful event.
What does the registration fee cover?
The registration fee covers the reception on Friday, four meals (breakfast and lunch) on Saturday, and the Saturday night social event which includes a DJ and food.
Are the panelists receiving a stipend or honorarium?
No. Sorors who are participating in the retreat whether as an organizer or speaker are doing so out of service to the organization, this event, and our sisters.
Why are we strongly encouraged to stay at the host hotel?
We would like Sorors to stay at the hotel and participate in the main stage sessions and breakout sessions throughout the day. In order for Sorors to get the full benefit and return on their registration fee, the organizers wanted to make it convenient for Sorors to establish connections without the distraction of juggling home life. This is a retreat. Instead of spending the time fighting Atlanta traffic, bond over drinks with a new Soror or enjoy a massage. To decrease your expenses, consider splitting the negotiated daily room rate with a line sister.
