CITIZEN is a dynamic 2024 Presidential Election Watch Party, bringing together Houston’s young professionals to engage in a pivotal moment in American democracy. Hosted by Emerging 100 Houston, Houston Area Urban League for Young Professionals, and the 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston, the event will provide a space for individuals to network, discuss key political issues, and watch the election results unfold in real-time. CITIZEN aims to foster civic engagement and dialogue within the community while creating an atmosphere of unity, education, and empowerment.
1. What is CITIZEN?
CITIZEN is a 2024 Presidential Election Watch Party hosted by Emerging 100 Houston, Houston Area Urban League for Young Professionals, and the 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston. It’s a networking and social event where attendees can watch the election results live, engage in meaningful discussions, and celebrate civic engagement.
2. Who is this event for?
This event is open to young professionals and community members interested in politics, networking, and civic engagement. Whether you’re actively involved in the political space or just want to be part of the conversation, CITIZEN welcomes all.
3. Is there a dress code for the event?
While there is no formal dress code, we encourage attendees to dress smart casual, as this is both a professional networking event and a social gathering.
4. Will food and drinks be provided?
Yes, there will be food and drinks available throughout the evening to enjoy as we watch the election results and network with other attendees.
5. Will there be a DJ at the event?
Yes, we will have a live DJ spinning throughout the night to keep the energy up between election updates. Expect great music, fun vibes, and plenty of opportunities to socialize and enjoy the atmosphere.
