Meet Our Speakers:
Shannon Woods is a Managing Director and the Head of Internal Audit at Texas Capital. As the Head of Internal Audit, Shannon ensures the Internal Audit function has the appropriate policy, procedures, and resources to opine on the adequacy of governance, risk management, control and compliance processes at Texas Capital Bank. She also ensures the assurance engagements and consulting services conform to professional standards. Shannon reports to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors. Before joining Texas Capital Bank, Shannon spent 15 years at JPMorgan Chase in leadership roles within their Internal Audit Department.
Shannon earned her BBA in Accounting from Jackson State University and holds Certified Financial Services Auditor, Certified Fiduciary Investment Risk Specialist, Certified Risk Management Assurance, and Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager designations.
She currently serves on the board of the Texas Capital Foundation, The Senior Source, and the Finance Committee of the Texas Women’s Foundation. She is founding member of The Village Giving Circle. Shannon is a graduate of Leadership ISD. She is a charter member of the Northeast Dallas Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Christie W. Morel is an accomplished Executive Director and the Director of Talent Acquisition at Texas Capital Bank. With over 20 years of experience in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition, Christie has consistently driven excellence and results across various industries. Her expertise spans developing internal recruiting programs, managing contingent workforce programs, and mentoring professionals in Recruiting, Payroll, and Employee Relations.
Christie's career includes significant roles at Texas Capital Bank, The Intersect Group, Volt Workforce Solutions, PDS Technical Services, Paladin Consulting, Inc., and Adecco. She excels in hands-on recruitment for diverse sectors, including Finance, Banking, IT, Engineering, and Aerospace.
Christie holds a background in Advertising and Journalism from the University of North Texas. Her top skills include Recruiting, Technical Recruiting, and Applicant Tracking Systems. She is known for her self-motivation, exceptional communication, and a commitment to generating successful outcomes.
