Summary

Make a joyful noise and SING – DANCE – REJOICE! Improve your vocal technique, sharpen your sight-reading skills and explore choral singing in this HBCU-centric choral workshop. Workshop is open to anyone desiring to expand their vocal repertoire and resources. Led by choral director and professor Dr. Terrence L. Lane, the workshop concludes with a choral concert featuring the pieces explored during the two-day workshop.

The two-day workshop (April 12 & 14) and performance (April 15) are positioned and designed to enhance the various forms of sacred and gospel music by offering a chance for attendees to improve as musicians, as vocalists, instrumentalists, and choral/gospel music enthusiasts. Those in attendance will learn more about gospel music from a leading professional in choral, sacred and gospel music. Participants will be able to take this knowledge and experience back to their schools, churches and communities.

This event is presented by Anthony H. Brown and Latasha Brown-Durham of A. B.etter Way Productions and graduates of Bethune-Cookman University and alums of the B-CU Concert Chorale.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
