In 2021, Juneteenth became a Federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans.

The holiday marks the anniversary of the final announcement proclaiming the freedom for slaves in Texas on June 19, 1865. 

Our Annual Juneteenth GOLF Classic and Celebration GALA is a charity event that includes a morning golf tournament and evening GALA of food, drinks, music silent auction and more. The net proceeds from both events are donated to "A Perfect Swing", founded by LPGA Professional Ashaunta Epps. aperfectswing.net for more information.

The Juneteenth GOLF classic offers golfers the opportunity to compete and network for a great cause. The event spotlights small businesses throughout the community, offering opportunities for them to introduce their product or services to golfers at selected holes throughout the golf course.

The format for the Juneteenth Golf Classic is considered Ryder Cup.

There is a Four Person Scramble, Shamble, One Best Ball of the Foursome
 Holes 1 – 6
Four Person Scramble

Each person will tee off and the best tee shot will be selected. Each player will play their next shot from the selected position. This format should be followed until the ball is holed and that single score will be used.

                                                                                                         Holes 7 – 12
                                                                                                         Shamble

Each person will tee off and the best tee shot will be selected. Each player will then play their OWN ball from the team’s best tee shot position. The lowest score of this format will be used.

                                                                                                        Holes 13 – 18

One Best Ball of the Foursome

 Each person will tee off and play their own ball the entirety of the hole.  The lowest single score of the team will be used.

The Juneteenth Celebration GALA is a Masquerade Sneaker Ball. Get your after five attire and your favorite pair of sneakers ready for this celebration event.
