Compared to the last 15+ years, again these are historical low numbers. Our 2ND Annual Memorial Holiday Weekend PEACE LOVE FORGIVENESS Poetry Comedy on the Block CEASEFIRE Social Impact Initiatives to raise $100K via high net worth individuals who seek to help the cause.  Chicago faces some great tumultuous social ills with gun-violence being the number one issue. We are only 7-weeks into the New Year and the data reports; 

321 Chicagoans shot.

81 Chicagoans killed.

Every 5-hours and 36-minutes a Chicagoan shot.

Every 22-hours and 30-minutes a Chicagoan is murdered.

We are tenaciously seeking to change this. Last Memorial Holiday Weekend, we implemented and executed The First Memorial Holiday Weekend PEACE LOVE FORGIVENESS Poetry & Comedy on the Block CEASEFIRES: https://events.eventnoire.com/e/ceasefire-memorial-weekend-the-peace-love-forgiven social impact initiatives. Our marketing strategies were very grassroot marketing campaigns via social media posts, word-of-mouth, e-blasts, texting, personal appearances at community events, attending churches, doing a couple for radio interviews, video support from several influential Chicagoans and prayer.  

After years of horrific shootings and killings during Memorial Holiday Weekend, this particular holiday weekend; we had an historical impact. This is still unfortunate, as people were wounded and lives were lost, but historically low numbers, compared to the past 15-20 years. Through my spiritual faith, I personally fasted and prayed for 21-days, May 7th-May 28th, 2024. Wherein, in preparing for The 2nd Annual Memorial Holiday Weekend PEACE LOVE FORGIVENESS Poetry & Comedy on the Block CEASEFIRE Social Impact Initiatives to cut those numbers in half (to no shootings/no killings). We are at the rudiment of our journey a little earlier to procure the proper resources of $100,000. My younger brother, James Lemar Ford aka Lemont, 17 was brutally killed on Saturday, January 11, 1992. Writing poetry, empowered me to write, meet and forgive my brother, Lemont's killers.

We are humbly seeking a 10-year philanthropic grant commitment of $150M to $250 with $15M or $25M per year from high net worth Chicagoans. Your philanthropic grant will help us with our immediate, short-term and long-term goals to prevent and mitigate gun-violence in Chicago's treacherous neighborhoods. One specific Social Impact Community Outreach Initiative is the 21st Century version of the Guardian Angels.
