Through the HBCU Golf Tournament and other activities, Bison Impact Group raises money and awareness to help end violence against women and children. About Bison Impact Group (BIG):
Bison Impact Group is on a mission to foster change by partnering with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and organizations dedicated to ending domestic violence, a pressing concern that tragically affects Black women under the age of 45. Through initiatives like the HBCU Golf Tournament, BIG raises both funds and awareness to combat violence against women and children.
Why the HBCU Golf Tournament Matters:
The annual BIG tournament, held every October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, is more than just a golf event. It's a powerful platform aimed at increasing Black participation in the sport, as nationally, less than 3% of recreational golfers are Black.
