Ujima Jam Sessions (www.ourspaceworld.org) are farmer-focused engagements that are virtual or in-person and focused on: sharing information (guest speakers), sharing resources, learning together, and helping each other out on our farms (think all-hands work days, with refreshments and/or on-farm demos from experts).

Launched in 2022 as peer learning circles to better meet the needs of Black and other underserved beginning farmers in Future Harvest's Beginning Farmer Training Program, Ujima Jams are now a farmer-led initiative supported by www.ourspaceworld.org.

Join us at FreshTable Gardens for a day of learning and communal work! FreshTable Gardens is a subsidiary of A Healing Leaf, LLC, a Maryland certified Minority Business Enterprise. It is a 100% African American, woman owned and operated farm. The farm is located on a 15-acre site in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. 

Our mission is to cultivate and produce organically grown food and herbs. Our strategy for success is to stay informed and involved with community and the farming industry. During this jam session we expect to be doing some tilling and mulching. After we work, we will enjoy food and explore the 15 acres!
