Who You'll Meet

  • Women for FSU

Since the creation of the Florida State College for Women in 1905, women have played a vital role in the history of the university — and they continue to do so today. In 2004 and 2005, an ad hoc committee was formed and focus groups were held to discuss how to promote women's involvement with FSU. A steering committee was created in 2008 to craft a plan to cultivate women as leaders, advocates and donors for Florida State University. The Women for FSU exists to engage women who have a passion for FSU by fostering friendship and community; to educate women on different ways of investing in our university; and to celebrate women who serve as mentors and role models and make a difference in other women’s lives.

  • Brianna Watts

Brianna says her life calling is to uplift and contribute to the success of the youth, college students, budding professionals, and established professionals. She enjoys assisting students in the transition from student to full-time professional through intentional programming, mentorship and connections with the appropriate resources to facilitate success. Her mission is to display an inspiring platform where she can be an encourager, educator, coach, motivational speaker and support others to develop the confidence and skills they will need to achieve their lifelong goals.

While these scholarships are of no cost to the student-athletes, they are not free. The university does not provide tuition discounts or waivers. Boosters pays $11 million on behalf of the athletics department for several athletics facilities including Doak Campbell Stadium, Dick Howser Stadium, Indoor Practice Facility, Soccer/Softball Complex, Track and Field, Seminole Golf Course and Morcon Aquatics Center.
