Summary

Join us for a soulful night of spoken word, food, drinks, and good vibes at Shanklin Hall on August 2, 2023. Featuring 7 amazing poets from the DMV all the way to Chicago, you don’t want to miss the second edition of this community poetry series!

We invite you to join us for a soulful night of spoken word on August 2, 2023. Hosted at Shanklin Hall, a new, black-owned venue in downtown Washington D.C, the theme of the night is black masculinity and multiplicity! What better way to celebrate black creativity and community than at a space curated for us, by us?

Come enjoy food, fine drinks, and good vibes with hosts Dj Trilla Kay and Thee Priestess Prophecy. We have a talented lineup of East Coast poets coming to share their artwork with you. Experience their prose, performance, and power with us next Wednesday. See you there!
