It's the last Barbecue of the Year: Hoodie Season Vol. VIII is returning this Fall! If you made it to Vol. VII in 2023, you know what to expect! If you've never been, this is the black family reunion that didn't know you needed in your life. Tickets are on sale now!

The weekend kicks off with a few free events. On Friday night, Nov. 1, we are partnering with the Southern diplomats for a happy hour to kick the clothing drive off early at Mr. Braxton on Georgia Avenue. On Saturday morning, a nature hike by We Be Walkin' and a Yoga cool down session will lead into the beginning of Hoodie Season. Both are free, but please RSVP.

On Saturday afternoon, Nov. 2, tell your tribe, ya peoples, and ya homies to meet you at Hoodie Season Volume VIII. Early arrival is suggested to avoid long food lines, and to grab a spot by the fire. Everyone must wear a Hoodie to Hoodie Season: HOODIES are still the MANDATORY DRESS CODE for admission of all guests! This Black-led and Black organized event is moving with the uniform purpose to preserve Black culture, to expand our reach for mass liberation, and to invest in the generation following in our footsteps! Funds raised will benefit two Black-Led non-profit organizations: The Hustler's Guild and DC WISE1. 

Wear a hoodie and bring a hoodie to give back to our clothing drive for the less fortunate youth of the city! Lawn Chairs, coolers, and Blankets are also welcomed. And as always, this event is B.Y.O.B. 

This year Hoodie Season will include the Arguing Brothers Podcast recording live onsite, and a tiny desk style local artist showcase. A free Beer and Wine Tasting will be included with your ticket from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, powered by Hedon State and Moors Brewing, while supplies last. 

We can't wait to link back up with our long lost cousins. Music will be provided by DJ Clottey and other special guests. Security will be enforced, Black owned vendors, Hookah, and the fan favorite fire pits to keep you warm!  For those that purchase in advance (Early Bird and General Admission), a meal is included in your ticket purchase.  The Washington, D.C. event location will be released on instagram 36 hours before the BBQ. Again, those that purchase their ticket in advance will have dinner included in their ticket. For those that buy a ticket after October 27, 2024, food will be available for purchase on site for an additional fee.
