Summary
“We Got Us” is a curated initiative designed to create a transparent, inclusive, and nurturing space for individuals within the Black community to explore vulnerability, foster self-expression, and build authentic connections. With a "Wellness Wednesdays" mindset, this series responds to our often-overlooked need for open dialogue and emotional support, recognizing the multidimensional realities, cultural nuances and diverse lived experiences.
Through a combination of guided discussions and experiential activities, participants will engage in topics ranging from emotional well-being and identity, to coping with societal stigmas and building resilience. Led by experienced facilitators Mahelet Kebede and Rachel (Rae) Browning, with special guests, each session is structured to encourage shared narratives, active listening, and collaborative growth in a judgment-free environment.
In a world that often challenges our resilience, we recognize the necessity of coming together to uplift and empower the disenfranchised. This is a sanctuary where your voice is heard, your experiences are valued, and your well-being is prioritized. We got us.
