Summary
We are each other’s harvest.” We are thrilled to announce our special Juneteenth collaboration with @thepeoplesmarketdmv! Join us at Shanklin Hall on Wednesday, June 19th at 6pm for “The Future of Black Farming: Creating a Sovereign Food System,” where we partner with Brandon Starkes of The People's Market, Gail Taylor and D'Real Graham of Three Part Harmony Farm and Spice Creek Entrprise, and Xavier Brown of Black Dirt Farm Collective. This event will showcase the innovative efforts within our community to transform the food system, ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious, high-quality food. Our own @chefjibri will produce a special dinner menu using ingredients from black farmers in the area. Let’s celebrate and support the incredible work being done to make sure we can all eat well.
